Inspiration for the company Apron Elegance came from Designer Rachel Hart’s adventures in the kitchen and love of home entertaining. Frustrated with boring butcher block aprons and the quality of fad fashion aprons, Hart endeavored to create functional and beautiful designs that would perform under the rigors of a real kitchen...

“I wanted an apron that worked as hard as I did, and still looked beautiful when the turkey was being carved at the table.”

Hart started Apron Elegance in 2006 with a line of sassy hostess aprons and kept pushing until she had a stable of products that upheld the three pillars of her design: quality, fit and innovation. So intent was
the designer to elevate the quality of apron design, that she developed
a mantra to guide her work, “Create aprons worthy of being handed down.” This drive for making the best aprons for people who are passionate about food is evident in this year’s collection.

Only the highest quality materials were used for Apron Elegance designs. From the sturdy canvas feature on the Tidy Chef Collection, to the clear vinyl pocket that protects cell phones on the Media Apron, durable details made the difference. Hart joined this outstanding
quality with selection by adding two children’s sizes, a plus size
(XL 14-22) and made them all available in her most popular styles.
